I was part of the team recognised with the Melbourne Online Do great then iterate value award for Q1, 2026, recognising my contribution to the Ed Discussions project.

Huge snaps to the Ed Discussion project team —

When Ed was requested to be used in the Master of AI, we had a big project on our hands, how can we implement a new LMS into our current LMS and make sure that it is implemented in a way that students don't get lost moving between the two platforms, how can we build efficiently and keep information organized, can we roll the subject over within our current process and how can we keep using this tool as clear as possible and more...

This was a real team effort to prototype and bring everything together in a way that’s simple, sustainable, and easy to roll over as a template for other subjects.

Special mentions:

• Akane and Leigh for sharing inspiration from how they’ve used Ed in the past. 
• David and Chris D for testing how Ed could be used and rolled over, working through my long list of ideas and 'what ifs' and testing to get what we needed. David put a huge amount of thought into helping me to designing an approach that makes this streamlined and sustainable. 
• Nathan, Chris N, Akane, Leigh and Cat(herine) for designing clear signposts to guide students seamlessly from Canvas to Ed. 
• Akane, Cat(herine) and Samantha for reviewing progress and providing feedback to strengthen future iterations. 
• Akane and Chris N for helping me to build a fancy student instructional interactive. 
• Cat(herine) for bringing the student experience lens and tightening up the instructions.

So grateful for the support and collaboration this is such a strong example of what we can do when we design thoughtfully and work together to iterate as we go.

We now have resources, instructions and a process to make the next few builds with Ed easier.
