Text-alternative design for accessibility

I developed a new system for image text-alternatives to use in QUT Online Canvas units. The previous system of linking to a seperate Canvas page was unweildly and did not meet accessibility standards. I developed the new design using the details/summary HTML elements to be more engaging, interactive and accessible.

The interactivity is now a button class which includes a hover state, so it is a bit more accessible and also consistent with QUT's existing button approach

Try the new QUT online Canvas text-alt button:

Hello 😀 ... wanted to shout out all the work you've been doing ... to make Canvas even more user friendly — legendary

the new and improved text alternative accordion Leigh Canny designed is the preferred option. So we will all use this new text alt accordion from now for visual descriptions (also in textblaze for convenience)
