I was encouraged to present at the Melbourne Online Monthly Showcase for May 2025.
I presented on my development of the PyInterp prototype Python Interpreter for use in Melbourne Online's Programming for Cybersecurity subject.
I focussed upon the pedagogical benefits to students of learning coding in this interactive and hands on way - putting opportunities to practice coding in close proximity to the learning content.
I presented my work to develop PyInterp, a prototype Python Interpreter and how its deployment aimed to achieve those pedagogical objectives.
The presentation was well revieved and prompted Melbourne Online EdTech department to work with me to develop Melbourne Online's own Python Emulator; a more robust and permanent solution to assist Melbourne Online learners of programming.
