The Learning Environments Team produced templates for VU Collaborate spaces. As part of this work, Colleges have their own unique themes/banners.
With my role as Navbar Manager, I developed the banners,  images and wording to accommodate the features existing generic plain theme.

I was asked to make signs for the newly refurbished Learning Spaces at Footscray Nicholson. They needed to be engaging and in keeping with the Respectfulness theme. I used Adobe Illustrator

Learning Map Template

Learning Maps are highly interactive instructional tools that allow Victoria University teaching staff to self-train through a learning process with links to other existing resources. 

In this case, a step-by-step guide to producing Learning Maps, themselves. This internal document was intended to train staff to maintain and develop the Learning Maps in my absence after 2015.

Learning Map: Space Creation

VU Collaborate Staff Help Site

My support role at VU includes the establishment and maintenance of help websites including VU Collaborate Instructor Help using Joomla CMS.

• adapted my CSS skills to make use of Joomla’s LESS styling language and Joomla’s compiling system
• developed the tag-cloud tool for improved navigation
• upgraded search functionality
• conducted staff and student user experience reviews
• started a feedback forum to gather instructor feedback on help-site content
• comply with the University's accessibility policies
• collaborate with University central web-design & marketing teams to ensure consistent user experience

Team Caricatures

Using Adobe Illustrator, I illustrated a set of team caricatures to identify members of the Blended Learning Team.

The cartoons were used in posters, blog profiles, presentations, email signatures, etc.

Helpsite Icons

I designed a set of icons for the VU Collaborate Help Site. The icons replaced the Joomla template icons with a standard set of icons more suited to the University's branding and style.

For ease of recognition, many of the icons feature adaptations of the icons also found in VU Collaborate.
